Operating as a part of our Junior School, we are commencing a new in-house Outside School Hours Care Service, after a period of an external contractor operating our Program. Reporting to the Deputy Head of the Junior School, This position is offered on a permanent, part time basis, 70 hours per fortnight.
The role will lead the delivery of high-quality care for children from Prep to Year 6, before and after school and during School vacation periods. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging and educational programs that foster children's development, ensuring their safety and well-being in a supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, strong organisational abilities, and a genuine passion for working with primary school age children.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Nominated Supervisor position in an Out of School Hours Care/Vacation Care Service;
- Proven ability to foster warm and professional relationships with children, families and members of our School community;
- Experience and ability to lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management;
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the service;
- Ensure quality and compliance in service delivery in line with the NQF.
- Understanding and working knowledge of WHS legislation;
- Demonstrated knowledge of service’s requirements of the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) system and ability to perform software application for compliance; and
- Hold a Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).

As a condition of employment, all non-teaching staff are required to hold a valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and are required to maintain their Blue Card for the duration of employment. In addition, hold a current First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Asthma and Anaphylaxis Qualification.
