Mars Forklifts is an independent Australian owned family business located in Wetherill Park NSW. Over the past 25 years we have grown to be one of the largest independent supplier of forklift and scissor lifts in Australia, specialising in Hire, Sales and Service of these equipment. Due to the growth of our business we are searching for a Backup Tilt Tray Driver / Trade assistant / Yardperson to work in our busy workshop in Wetherill Park. Preference to anyone with experience in both Tilt Tray operation and minor mechanical knowledge would be an advantage, however is not essential to join us in this fast paced industry that is always evolving and never boring.

This full time position is available for an immediate start.

About the role. What you'll be doing

• Backup tilt tray driver to transport forklifts and access equipment. Safely loading, securing and unloading forklifts and access using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Performing general trade assistant duties such as assembling, installing or repairing equipment.
• Conducting daily pre-checks on equipment.
• Organising and Moving forklifts in the yard.
• Filling up gas bottles.
• Pressure washing and cleaning of forklifts and access equipment.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the yard and warehouse areas
• Assisting staff with day to day duties.
• Picking up parts etc.
• Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and procedures

What we're looking for

• Current HR licence and previous experience driving a tilt tray truck
• Forklift license preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, time management and communication skills
• Proactive approach to work with strong work ethics
• Commitment to maintaining safe work practices.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Experience in a trade or warehouse environment would be highly regarded
