National Sales Manager

Strapit Medical & Sports Supplies - Melbourne office.

Strapit is looking for an outstanding sales manager to join one of Australia’s leading Sports Taping Brands selling locally and in over 30 countries.

Strapit Medical & Sports Supplies is Australia’s leading Sports Tape brand with both national and international sales and distribution channels. Our company supplies Sports Tapes & Medical supplies to several businesses in both B2B and B2C groups including elite sporting teams.

This is an exciting position for either a young motivated or experienced sales manager keen on working in the Sports Medicine and Sports sector.

Our target markets are:

1. Elite sporting clubs
2. Amateur sporting clubs
3. Working with our key distributors in Physio/Osteo/Chiro Clinics
4. Pharmacy - via our distributors, brokers and direct
5. Online direct sales - B2C

The role has a core focus on maintaining and building our sporting club markets. This includes direct sales to clubs and through our national distribution network. You are consistently managing existing clubs and sourcing new clubs.

You will need to be strategically minded and responsible for the business's sales growth and working with a growing sales team.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Working with the Founder & Managing Director to develop the marketing and strategic planning of the business around our sports club markets.
2. Work with the sales team to drive sales and growth with monthly review of sales cycles and analysis of sales pipelines and individual sales staff targets.
3. Use of a CRM system to analyse ratios and metrics.
4. Quickly develop a strong understanding of our market, our market share, competitor analysis and overall marketing strategy
5. Target sporting clubs and maintain club contracts with medical supplies
6. Have a "can do" attitude to walk into an elite sporting organisation and aggressively pitch for contracts using quick thinking, sales experience and ability to "read the play" with negotiating contracts.
7. Work with the Managing Director to increase our market share with our national & international sales and distribution of our products
8. Have the ability to travel both nationally and internationally on exhibitions & trade shows, secure further brand presence, and B2B and B2C sales.
9. Manage KEY accounts.
10. Work the occasional weekend at trade shows and fairs around the country. Option for overseas shows also.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION INCLUDE

1. Experience in Sales (Sports Medical Market a bonus but not essential)
2. Experience in managing a team with strong leadership and "buy-in" from both management and sales/admin staff.
3. Team Player, autonomous, uses initiative, strong organisational skills
4. Ability to aggressively canvas and call sporting clubs during the preseason period.
5. Experience collaborating with the team and driving effective changes within our sales and marketing strategy, our approaches and our techniques.
6. 2+ years’ experience in the Sales & Marketing Sector
7. Ability to set budgets, and forecasts and work with our management team.
8. Ensuring monthly targets are met
9. Strong client retention in a competitive market.
10. Experience with Excel, PowerPoint etc
11. Ability to present to both small and large groups our brand, products and vision
12. Experience in the pharmacy, physiotherapy/allied health, sports and/or sports medicine sector would be advantageous but not essential

The Managing Director is a well-known physiotherapist who has developed the brand from scratch and seeks a highly motivated, enthusiastic and driven individual who will share his passion to build an Australian Brand both locally and internationally in our category. It's an exciting time at Strapit.

Salary Range will be between 90K-120K base (based on experience) and very strong commission/bonus incentive based on the performance of sales
