Overlanda Caravans is a custom caravan manufacturing company based in Ararat. With our dedicated service repair centre located next door. We are looking for looking for skilled all-rounders to join our team. Someone who is a thinker, problem solver, takes great pride in their work and fits in well within our existing team. Someone who can hit the ground running.

We are seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator with exceptional skills to work in a small team within our busy, growing production facility.

Experienced Welder/Fabricator basic duties will include but are not limited to:

• Various welding & general fabrication
• Pressing / Folding / Cutting
• Read and understand drawings
• Fit and agile to work in and around the units
• Competent in the use of hand and power tools
• Other duties as requested
  
  Job Skills Required
• Cert IV in Engineering (or similar)
• Caravan industry experience desirable but not essential
• Electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge desirable but not essential
• Physical fitness, good agility, to be able to perform work underneath the vehicle
• Competent in the use of hand and power tools
• Excellent communication skills
• Forklift license & Truck Licence (desirable)
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work to deadlines
• Excellent team working skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of LEAN & 5S principles desirable but not essential
• Good understanding of OHS
• Must be self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision

We work a four day week Monday – Thursday 7.00am - 5.00pm (38 hour week).

Parttime/Fulltime hours on offer, remuneration to be negotiated with successful applicant based on qualifications, skills and experience.
