Senior/Associate Electrical Engineer

Role Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior or Associate Electrical Engineer to lead and deliver innovative building services projects across various sectors including healthcare, commercial, education, defence, and data centres. This is a leadership role ideal for someone passionate about driving sustainable design practices, mentoring teams, and collaborating closely with clients.

Benefits

• Salary approx. $135k to $165k
• International client new to Perth
• Well known long-term project

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
• 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably local
• Chartered Engineer and NER registration (or eligibility)
• Proven track record delivering complex building services projects
• Strong knowledge of NCC, Australian standards, protection and control systems
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD, SKM PowerTools, Bluebeam, Excel
• Familiarity with SCADA, energy management, ICT, comms, and security systems
• Strong project management, communication, and leadership skills
• Current drivers licence required

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end electrical design, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards
• Manage all project phases: design, documentation, tenders, construction support, client liaison
• Mentor junior engineers and support team development
• Maintain strong client relationships and clear communication
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and authorities
• Approve designs to meet quality standards
• Prepare tenders, proposals, and reports
• Identify risks and provide sustainable, cost-effective solutions
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance
