The Role
As the Senior Structural Engineer, you will be a key leader within the organisation, responsible for maintaining an engaged and high-performing team. This role involves both technical leadership and team management, ensuring the successful delivery of projects while mentoring and overseeing junior engineers.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers.
• Managing team workloads and supporting professional development.
• Pricing work and reviewing projects to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Conducting structural analysis and design for residential and commercial projects.
• Performing site inspections and reporting findings.
• Collaborating with architects, builders, and project stakeholders.
• Overseeing drafting processes to ensure accurate documentation.
• Contributing to project planning and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and mentor a team.
• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in structural design within Australia.
• Extensive knowledge of Australian Standards and Building Codes.
• Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Inducta, SpaceGass, and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a high attention to detail.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to project work.
• RPQ (Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland) or Chartered Engineering status (CPEng) is highly desirable.
