Robert Half is currently recruiting a qualified Financial Accountant, who will be responsible for the delivery of the financial reporting for a growing hospitality company based in Melbourne's western suburbs. This is a three day a week temporary to permanent role.

This organisation is growing rapidly and is becoming a highly recognisable brand in the western suburbs.

You will be responsible for the organisation's timely and accurate financial reporting while working closely with the organisation's key stakeholders.

Although this role will be on-site there is flexibility with days worked and start and finish times.

The Role

Reporting to an impressive and supportive Finance Manager some typical duties will involve:

- Timely and accurate production of accounting reports
- Production of P&L and Balance sheet reports
- Overview and support of AP & AR
- General ledger reconciliation
- Month-end analysis
- Variance analysis
- Fixed asset accounting
- Measurement of expenses and income against budget
- Monthly reporting to senior level stakeholders
- Timely and accurate production of financial reports
- Complex general ledger reconciliations
- BAS and other compliance reporting
- Payroll compliance
- Assist Finance Manager with EOY audit

Your Profile

To be successful you will have proven experience in a similar role with an SME entity and have a true "roll-up-the sleeves" approach.

The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:
- Ability to take ownership of a role
- Ability to generate meaningful and readily understood reports for senior management
- Proven knowledge of accounting principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong relationships with internal and external parties

Previous exposure to MYOB will be an advantage as well as an intermediate to an advanced level on MS Excel.
