Position Description

• Full time role.
• Annual Salary $80,000 - $90,000 inclusive of superannuation.
• Fringe benefit tax packaging and flexible working.
• Located in Norwest, close to station and parking.

About us

Established nearly 60 years ago, Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS) undertakes disaster relief and humanitarian projects in Australia and overseas. Currently, we have nearly 430 active projects with hundreds of Rotarians involved in their implementation. In addition to Australia, our projects operate in more than 40 countries.

The role

The newly created Partnerships and Fundraising Officer role is to focus on diversifying our sources of funding from our Rotary base to include government, the corporate sector and philanthropy.

As part of a refreshed organisational strategic Plan, we have recently developed a comprehensive fundraising plan that will guide the work of the Partnerships and Fundraising Officer under the direct supervision and guidance of the CEO.

Responsibilities:

• Research and identify potential donors and funding opportunities.
• Maintain and update donor databases and records.
• Develop ‘productised’ project profiles to display to donor prospects.
• Develop documentational assets and presentations to preset to donor prospects.
• Write compelling grant proposals and applications to secure funding.
• Cultivate relationships with existing donors and partners.
• Where necessary, undertake comms and marketing activities.
• Engage with major donors on a regular basis.
• Represent the organisation at events and networking opportunities.
• Implement and meet fundraising plan KPIs.
• Assist RAWCS project managers to fundraise at project level.
• Undertake any other relevant duties as assigned.

Your skills and attributes:

• At least 2 years of experience working in a similar or sales role in Australia.
• Advanced written and verbal skills.
• Being a people’s person, proven success in building relationships.
• The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with substantial number of stakeholders in a complex, mostly volunteer run organisation.
• Open to following guidance.
• Self-driven, achievements-focused individual with high energy.
