We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Partnerships Officer to join our team!
What You Will Do:
As the Community Partnerships Officer, you will be responsible for facilitating and supporting the delivery of Council's Community Partnerships Grants Program. This program funds and supports a variety of community-driven events, activities, and projects, which create positive cultural, economic, and social outcomes for the Cairns region. You will work closely with local community organisations and Council stakeholders to ensure that proposed events are supported to ensure best possible outcomes for all.
What We Are Looking For:
Qualifications in a related field, such as Events Management, Grants facilitation or Marketing at a Bachelor’s degree level and/or demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply processes, principles and strategies for event facilitation and support activities within a Local Government environment.
Current Queensland Driver’s Licence and the ability to independently drive between all business locations to meet operational needs.
Blue Card (Working with Children).
Sound experience in the production and management of a diverse range of community events.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and submissions.
Demonstrated ability to work strategically and collaboratively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, people with disabilities, and Australia’s First Peoples, to develop effective partnerships and deliver outcomes.
