The Opportunity:

Are you a finance whiz ready to take the lead? We're on the lookout for a highly motivated and experienced Finance Manager to become a key player in our Belconnen team. This isn't just about numbers; it's about providing crucial insights and strategic support to our Senior Management Team across Quest Care and Quest Training. What you'll be doing:

  • Compile monthly financial and management accounts, translating data into actionable insights for strategic decisions.
  • Lead the smooth execution of month-end closing, ensuring accuracy and integrity through reconciliations and meticulous ledger management.
  • Develop annual budgets and dynamic monthly cash flow forecasts that align with our ambitious organisational goals.
  • Dive into financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth and efficiency.
  • Ensure the smooth flow of our finances by managing both Accounts Payable and Receivable functions.
  • Oversee our weekly and fortnightly payroll across multiple awards, guaranteeing accuracy, compliance, and happy team members.
  • Navigate statutory reporting requirements with confidence, including BAS lodgement and tax returns, while liaising with external experts.
  • Champion the maintenance and improvement of our financial systems and internal controls, always seeking opportunities to leverage technology for greater efficiency (i.e. Sage Intacct and Salesforce).
  • Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, becoming a trusted source of financial expertise and clear communication.

What you'll bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accountancy (or equivalent).
  • CPA/CA qualification.
  • Proven experience in a similar financial management role – ideally within the community services or NDIS sector.
  • A deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and the art of budgeting.
  • Solid knowledge of payroll systems and the intricacies of compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software (like Sage Intacct) and other business-critical IT systems (such as Salesforce).
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills – you're a people person who loves numbers!
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities – you see solutions where others see challenges.
