An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic, committed, and customer service-focused Maintenance Assistant /Handyman to join our growing team in the ACT on a parttime & full-time basis. This role will see you support our clients’ properties and expand our portfolio through business development and a hands-on approach. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all contractual requirements are met at the designated projects.

Key Responsibilities -

• Ensure the safety and maintenance of all plant and equipment.
• Coordinating and undertaking maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections for commercial & residential properties
• Assisting with basic handyperson tasks as needed, including minor repairs and installations
• Implementing and adhering to WHS procedures, ensuring the safety of all Staff, Clients and contractors
• Communicating effectively with Clients to address maintenance requests promptly and efficiently
• Collaborating with external contractors to ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Assisting with various Adhoc duties where required, as directed by the Operations Manager
• Plan and coordinate tasks to ensure work is prioritised and meets standards, quality, and timelines
• Ability to Quote jobs as requested.
• Remain calm under pressure
• Must have excellent people and communication skills
• Must have outstanding teamwork skills & solid work ethic
• Intermediate IT skills are Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
• Full Drivers license.

Requirements:

✔ Prior experience in maintenance, handyman work, or facilities support
✔ Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform manual labor.
✔ Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
✔ Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed.
✔ A valid driver’s license (if travel between sites is required).
