Elements Glass, a locally owned & operated glass and aluminium specialist is in need of full-time Glazier to join our growing team in the NT immediately.

Main Tasks:

• Reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications to determine size, shape, colour, type, and thickness of glass
• Glass to be laid on padded tables, to get ready for cutting
• Measuring and marking glass for cutting based on the specification
• Checking the glass if there are any defective areas, and mark by the glass marker.
• Cutting glass according to the drawings and specifications
• If there is a template for special shape of the glass, then cut along the templates, and break off sheets and excess glass with notched tools and glass pliers
• Using belt sanders and smoothing wheels to smooth rough edges

Job Requirements:

• Qualification or background in glass processing is preferred (Certificate III or Certificate IV). At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification
• Minimum 1-2 years’ relevant glazing experience is required
• Possible overtime and weekend work
• Demand for high quality standards
• The successful applicant must be able to work independently and as a member in a team.

Annual salary from $55,000 - $75,000 plus super with 38 working hours per week, Monday to Friday with some overtime available depending on the workload.
