Machine Operator
About the Role:
Mills Recruitment is seeking a Machine Operator to join a progressive company in South Perth. This role involves operating an Enduro roll former machine, which processes Bluescope Truecore steel into 90mm and 70mm channels used to construct wall frames and roof trusses for residential and modular projects.
As an operator, you will be responsible for the machine's daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance, including loading coils and using the gantry crane. Regular calibration checks are essential to ensure all products meet strict quality standards and tolerances.
The ideal candidate will have mechanical experience or a strong understanding of factory machinery, with the ability to maintain both quality and productivity in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the Enduro machine to cut steel channels for construction.
• Perform daily maintenance and calibration checks.
• Load coils and operate the gantry crane.
• Ensure all work meets strict quality standards and tolerances.
• Maintain productivity and workplace safety.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience operating factory machinery, particularly in steel cutting, is an advantage.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform maintenance tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Self-motivated with a team-oriented approach.

Hours:

• Monday to Thursday, 10:00 PM – 4:30 AM (30-minute unpaid rest/meal break)
• A 24-hour workweek—ideal for a student or part-time worker.
