About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and team-orientated Painter to join our Rosebery NSW crew on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for painting buildings' external and internal surfaces, utilising a range of access methods, paint products, patching/waterproofing products, and specialist equipment used related to the nature of our services. In addition, you will also be involved with the setup of safety equipment and resources following SDS, Sky5, and Regulatory safe operating standards, procedures, and site-specific protocols. Other key duties include:

• Utilise agreed access and work methods to paint designated surfaces to expected standards of safety quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members and Site Supervisors regarding any issues relating to work plan implementations and solutions.
• Ensure all materials and resources are packed away in a safe and orderly manner on completion of each job.
• Utilise appropriate products and equipment in line with the manufacturer's and client site requirements.
• Prepare all required resources and equipment before work commencement.
• Perform job-specific techniques relating to surface types using equipment such as brush, roller, spray, and pole applicators.
• Prepare surfaces and apply paints, remove previous paint through sandblasting, scraping, sanding, hydro-blasting, and steam cleaning.
• Interperate blueprints and drawings to establish exclusion zones for safe operations on site.
• Complete administration duties relating to the required time, task, and availability of each job.

About You

This opportunity requires a team player who has a high attention to detail regarding safety on site and holds a relevant qualification related to commercial and/or industrial painting or a similar trade. This person will also have:

• 2+ years experience as a painter in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant trade qualifications or at least 3 years experience in lieu of formal qualifications
• Excellent time management skills to effectively coordinate duties in a timely and efficient manner.
• Experience and/or a qualification in Rope Access and Working from heights as is necessary for the role (Highly desirable).
• Knowledge of various rope access techniques.
