Senior CAD Designer – Road Cases (On Shape/SolidWorks)

Your Key Responsibilities are:

• You will create precise 3D drawings based on accurate measurement of equipment to align with design brief/specification, ready for production.
• Adjust designs, ensuring they are optimised for production and assembly.
• Use SolidWorks and On Shape to design, model and render our cases.
• Work closely with Sales and Customers to ensure the designs meet functional and protective requirements.
• Create virtual drawings for customers sign off.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in client and internal meeting, offering valuable input and feedback.
• Assist with problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure designs and finished work are completed on time.
• Foster a collaborative environment to ensure all drawings are delivered on time and departmental objectives are achieved.

Candidates should demonstrate the following skills/knowledge:

• Advanced knowledge with tool and machine operation in relation to production
• Advanced knowledge with reading, interpreting, and following instructions, specifications, standard operating procedures, charts, lists, drawings and other applicable reference documents in relation to production.
• A keen eye on functionality….having worked in the entertainment industry is an advantage….even better if you have used our products.
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Strong written communications skills
• An engaging personality to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Strong time management skills to work efficiently and accurately.

Preferred experience/education:

• Experience with CAD software – SolidWorks, On Shape
• 5 years+ experience in an industrial role (preferably related to the manufacturing industry or have worked in the entertainment industry building road cases).
