An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Live-In Onsite Receptionist to join the team at Beach House Motel, located in the heart of The Strand, Townsville.

As the first point of contact for guest arrivals, this role would suit someone with an engaging personality who loves interacting with guests from all walks of life.

Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar Duty Manager or Assistant Hotel Manager role within the hospitality industry.

This role requires a long-term commitment and would suit a candidate with strong experience who enjoys working hands on, who is highly organised and enjoys offering excellence in customer service.

Package: Salary ($50,000 - $55,000 subject to experience), Superannuation, Accommodation - 1 Bedroom Apartment & Utilities

Roster: Thursday 12:30pm-7pm, Friday 7:30am-7pm, Saturday & Sunday 8am-6pm, including after hours on call.

Duties:

• Day to day front and back-office work
• Manning reception – check-ins/outs, posting to accounts, reservations etc
• Invoicing
• Assisting with Accounts Receivable, Payable
• General Administration work
• Group Reservations
• Handle general guest enquiries
• Providing local knowledge and recommendations to enhance the guest experience
• Overnight management of any issues that may arise
• Marketing & Occupancy Building: Develop strategies to increase bookings and build occupancy, including managing social media pages and creating marketing content.
• Housekeeping: Coordinate housekeeping tasks and ensure cleanliness throughout the property.
• Team Management: Create and manage the roster for housekeeping staff, liaise with external subcontractors for specialized services.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in motel, hotel, or hospitality management
• Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage a team and work collaboratively
• Experience with motel booking software (GuestPoint) and basic computer skills
• Ability to live on-site and take responsibility for the property’s operations
• A proactive, hands-on approach to all aspects of the business
