Role Purpose

As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and proactively reporting and repairing electrical systems. Your role will require working a shift pattern as required by your employer. You will perform inspections, diagnose electrical issues, and ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations. You will work with a variety of tools and equipment to install and repair electrical systems, including wiring, fixtures, switches, panels, and circuit breakers.

Role Responsibilities

• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment by adhering to electrical safety standards, site safety policies and procedures.
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in accordance with local and national electrical codes and regulations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues and perform appropriate repairs or replacements.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections to identify and avoid potential hazards, failures or code violations and repair or provide recommendations for corrective actions.
• Ensure emergency repairs are performed in an expeditious and safe manner
• Cooperate in a professional manner with all clients, team and management and act in accordance with the company values to achieve a harmonious and productive work environment.

Key Skills and Experience

• Electrical trade certificate
• Valid electrician license
• Proven experience as an electrician in an industrial / production type environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Physical ability to perform electrical tasks, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety protocols.
