John Paul College (JPC) Primary School is seeking a dedicated Teacher Aide to join our team on a fixed-term basis from 30th April until the end of Term 4, 2025. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support student learning in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

At JPC, we are committed to fostering curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning. As a Teacher Aide, you will play a vital role in assisting students and teachers to create an engaging and supportive classroom experience.

The Key Responsibilities in these roles will include:

• Assisting the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate learning activities.
• Providing one-on-one or small group support to students.
• Creating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment where all children feel valued.
• Supporting students with diverse learning needs.
• Preparing materials and resources to enhance classroom activities.
• Supervising students during play, transitions, and other school activities.
• Collaborating with teachers and staff to support student learning and well-being.

About You:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate individual who is committed to supporting children in their learning journey.

Essential Requirements:

• A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for supporting young children in their learning journey.
• A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card Services, Queensland).
• A valid First Aid qualification.

Desirable:

• Proficiency in a second language is advantageous.

Employment Details: This is a fixed-term position with a contract of 70 hours per fortnight, worked during term time only.
