Job Responsibility:

• Inspect agricultural produce to ensure compliance with government and industry standards with respect to quality, health and licensing.

Duties:

• Visually inspects fresh fruits to determine grade and compliance with federal standards, industry contract specifications
• Inspects and samples agricultural products; for example feed, seed, fertilizer, and those needed for other plant pest management projects.
• Conducts trappings, surveys, and facility inspections.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal laws applicable to organic products.
• Checks size of commodity, amount, and seriousness of defects.
• Observes and records color characteristics, firmness, maturity, and shape.
• Issues inspection certificates showing the grade and condition of the inspected commodity.
• Explains, both verbally and in writing, the grading system and related standards
• Prepares and maintains reports, records, and forms related to the work.
• Performs related work and other tasks as assigned.

Qualification:

• AQF Diploma or Higher
• 2 years of experience in related field
• More than 3 years of experience may substitute with formal qualifications.
