An exciting opportunity has become available for a high performing individual to join the Engineering & Technology branch of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) in the role of Advisor (Operations). Based in our branch's Safer Roads Infrastructure section, we embed the Safe System approach to achieve road safety outcomes based around creating safer speeds, safer roads and roadsides and evaluating the safety benefits of emerging vehicle technologies.

You will lead a team within Camera Operations to ensure key performance indicators are met by providing advice and guidance on business rules, legislative requirements, and processes. You will need to exercise sound judgement regarding operations and prioritise issues for escalation to management. We provide training in the relevant technology systems and build on your current technical and information systems knowledge and skills.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Provide subject matter expertise and high quality written and verbal advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders regarding the camera detected offence program including the potential business impacts of project deliverables, legislative changes, operations and systems enhancements.
• Participate in projects and assist with risk and impact assessments, documentation, research and evaluation of enforcement camera systems.
• Coordinate enforcement camera resourcing, including the development and continual improvement of processes, procedures and systems to meet operational goals.
• Lead quality assurance of deployment validation processes and monitor, coordinate and report on enforcement camera deployments, compliance, statistics, risks and issues, camera calibration, maintenance and replacement schedules and repairs.
• Provide leadership and direction to multi-disciplinary teams to build workforce capability and facilitate ongoing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
