Aurum Contracting is a mid-size privately owned business operating on remote renewable and traditional energy construction projects around QLD. We are seeking a permanent full-time WHS Officer with proficiency in HSE platforms/systems, for an immediate start on construction projects in Central QLD, working DIDO/FIFO rosters e.g. 10/4 Note: this is a site based and will require travel to and from site for rosters. All accommodation, company laptop, meals and travel included, the successful candidate will need to supply their own phone and will be paid a phone allowance.

Responsibilities:

• Upload reports or HSE information into the company and client portalsProduce safety documents e.g. Permits, SWMS, JSEAs, plans etc.
• Perform weekly and monthly project reporting requirements.
• Reporting nonconformance and implement corrective actions.
• Perform HSE incident investigation and reports.
• Attend client site safety meetings and pre starts
• Deliver training sessions e.g. toolbox talks, take five

Essential Skills and Experience

• Must have demonstrable IT safety system experience
• Must have a Minimum Certificate IV in WHS with minimum 1 to 2 years experience in a similar role
• Construction white card and current drivers license
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly proficient computer skills and experience in using Microsoft Office suite and other computer programs
• Proficient in spelling, punctuation, grammar and other English language skills.
• Proven experience producing HSE documents.
• Must be comfortable working in a small team for a privately owned company.
• Ability to complete tasks efficiently to high quality standards
• Ability to complete online and face to face client and company inductions
• Must be willing to undergo health screening and drug and alcohol testing
• Must have a smart phone
• Must be able to provide proof of right to work in Australia e.g. birth certificate or passport
