Base: Travel between sites across Greater Brisbane
Current project portfolio is focused on the medium density residential space and includes defence housing, low rise units, townhouse projects for private clients, retirement living.

Anticipated you will possess a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Safety Advisor capacity for a building contractor.
Salary band - $110,000 - $130,000 + Super + Travel Allowance + mobile phone allowance + laptop
Report to Senior WHSE Advisor. Work closely while traveling to different projects in Brisbane ensuring best safety practice across all sites.

The Role:
Due to continued success, project wins and expansion plans in QLD, this building contractor is now looking to recruit a Safety (HSEQ) Advisor to play a key role in ensuring the project sites are of a high safety standard and company employees are adhering to the companies WHSE procedures across all of its’s Brisbane projects. In the position you will report to the Senior WHSE Advisor and travel to the construction projects across Brisbane.
Duties:
Reinforcing a positive safety culture among staff and subcontractors through education, communication and a consultative approach.
Ensure the project sites are of a high safety standard
Train site team and management how to conduct pre-starts, site safety inspections and toolbox talks as required.
Reviewing SWMS
Identifying hazards and risks onsite, discussing these with subcontractors and agree to control measures
Liaise and co-ordinate all high risk works compliance with Project Management.
Review & approve for site works all sub-contractor’s safety documentation.
Conduct site audits
Assist with company ISO compliance.
Ensure client WHS obligations compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
Ideally a Cert IV in OH&S or alternative WHS industry relevant qualifications and certificates
2+ years' experience in a Health & Safety role on construction projects
Must have recently worked for established building contractor
Safety experience across unit and townhouse projects would be hugely beneficial.
Experience working as a safety advisor across multiple construction sites is desirable.
Must have a strong understand of new build projects and structures.
Collaborative communication skills consistent with effective consultation and influencing
Passionate about construction safety.
Competent computer skills
