An exciting opportunity now exists for a full time Accountant to join our friendly team based in Balwyn.

Responsibilities Include:

• Business services compliance including preparing financial statements and tax returns for all entities BAS, IAS, FBT returns and Payroll
• Use appropriate accounting packages (Xero/MYOB/QuickBooks, etc) of the client to prepare accounts to trial balance stage.
• Perform daily accounting tasks such as bookkeeping, general ledger entries and recordkeeping
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial records
• Maintain and organise financial files and documents
• Handle data entry and ensure proper documentation and filing of financial information.
• Prepare end of month procedures

Must Demonstrate:

• Meticulous and high attention to detail and accuracy
• Process driven and works to a deadline
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team.
• Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Xero/MYOB/QuickBooks

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (Business, Commerce) or higher qualification is preferred

Preferred experience:

• Minimum 1 year of experience, ideally in a CA/CPA firm
