Workfast is hiring an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a leading company specialising in recycling solutions and chute systems. This role is ideal for a skilled tradesperson with experience in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and assembly of industrial equipment.

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical components to ensure optimal performance. You’ll work within a team-oriented environment that values safety, precision, and efficiency.

• Location: Bankstown, NSW
• Pay Rate: $52-56 p/hr + OT and Super
• Hours: Full time hours, Monday to Friday

What You Need:

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or similar
• Experience in mechanical maintenance, assembly, and troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team
• Commitment to workplace health and safety (WHS) standards

What You Will Be Doing:

• Assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical components for waste management equipment
• As part of the site crew, you will meet at the workshop each morning and travel to job sites for installations
• Diagnosing faults and troubleshooting mechanical issues
• Conducting preventative maintenance and repairs to minimise downtime
• Working with hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with WHS regulations
