• Salary: $111,283 to $129,707 per annum
• Commute use of vehicle
• Plus up to 14.5% superannuation (conditions apply)

The City’s Waste Services business unit are seeking an experienced and motivated Principal Waste Contracts Officer to lead the management and oversight of major waste contracts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and sustainable waste management services. This key role will shape the future of waste services, ensuring compliance, and driving efficiency in contract performance while delivering exceptional customer service to the City’s residents, ratepayers, and employees.

To excel in this role, you should have demonstrated experience in waste contract management, procurement, or a related field, along with a solid understanding of waste management regulations, environmental policies, and contract law. Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities are essential, as well as a proven track record of delivering cost-effective and efficient waste service contracts. Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills will be crucial to achieving successful outcomes.

To be considered for this position, candidates must demonstrate the following qualifications and experience in their application:

• Proven experience in waste contract management, procurement, or a related field.
• Knowledge of waste management regulations, environmental policies, and contract law.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• A track record of delivering cost-effective and efficient waste service contracts.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Demonstrated Experience in Large-Scale Waste Projects.

Tertiary qualification in Environmental Management, Waste Management, Business, Public Administration, Contract Management, or a related field.

To be eligible to work for us, you need to provide, or have ability to obtain the following:

• Certification in Procurement and Contract Management or equivalent.
• WA C Class Drivers Licence.
• Construction Safety Induction Card (White Card).
