Located in vibrant St Kilda, Bayside House is seeking a confident and organised Guest Services All-rounder to join our dedicated team in providing an exceptional experience for all guests and staff.
Mandatory Requirements:
Must be available to work weekends
Advanced English (able to communicate fluently with all guests)
Confident, motivated and organised
Excellent communication skills and ability to resolve conflicts
Exceptional customer service skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Flexible and willing to go the extra mile
A genuine interest in interacting with people from diverse backgrounds
Strive to maintain the highest-rated hostel reputation on all booking platforms - Booking.com, Google etc
Favorable Skills:
Experience working with Cloudbeds or similar booking platforms
Familiarity with online booking platforms such as Hostelworld, Booking.com, and Expedia
Hospitality or hostel experience is preferred
Responsibilities / Core Functions of the Role:
Managing daily check-ins and check-outs
Data entry of guest information (phone, email, postcode, address, ID, and payment details) and handle all payments including collecting from booking platforms
Providing a high level of customer service at all times
Resolving guest complaints or feedback in a positive, fast and efficient way
Encouraging and leading staff in delivering outstanding guest experiences
Communicating effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments
Supervising the hostel facilities to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
Managing reservations, responding to guest inquiries through various channels
Maintaining property cleanliness, including showers, toilets, and common areas
Replenishing linen supplies and ensuring rooms are clean and reset for incoming guest
Work in coordination with the rest of the administration team and contribute to daily and weekly meetings
Complying with company policies, OH&S standards, and safety protocols
Engaging guests on social media and encouraging positive reviews
Ensuring all guests feel safe and have a memorable, fun stay
Be accountable, provide leadership and direction.
Oversee cleaner and overall cleanliness of the property to ensure it aligns with our standards.
Cleaning – Showers, toilets, empty bins, or anything that needs to be done in order for us to be the cleanest hotel in the business.
