About the Role:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Service Technician to join our expanding team in Sydney and Auckland region.

As a Field Service Technician at Global Exchange, you will be pivotal in delivering support for computer systems, operating systems and software application and will be required to travel frequently within Australia and New Zealand region.

Key responsibilities:

• Installing, configuring and updating operating systems and software application.
• Hardware and Software Support: Install and configure computer hardware, IP surveillance camera systems and recording software.
• LAN connectivity, Installation and connection of routers and switches, use of VPNs, basic commands for diagnosing incidents related to communications.
• Rack assembly and installation of servers, UPS, networking equipment etc.
• Implementing and maintaining security measures such as antivirus, hard drive encryption.
• Ticket Management: Resolving technical problems. requests and incidents and support for a variety of hardware and software.
• Basic maintenance of office systems and equipment.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Relevant Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in IT, System Administration, Telecommunications and Computer Systems, Network Computer Science.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in installation and support to both hardware users and desktop software.
• Experience installing and configuring network infrastructure, switches, servers, UPS, IP telephony and surveillance camera systems and recording software.
• Experience in resolving technical problems and providing technical support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to travel to different company location within Australia and New Zealand.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team and under pressure.
