Our client is a well-established organisation within the Waste Management and Disposal Industry!

They currently have a vacancy for an experienced Weighbridge Operator at their Transfer Station Operations in Werribee, VIC, with an ASAP start.

Some of your duties will involve:

• Directing customers, visitors, and contractors entering and exiting the facility.
• Efficiently and accurately processing customer vehicles entering and exiting the facility, ensuring all required details are recorded and correct charges are applied.
• Inspecting waste loads at the weighbridge and ensuring the correct charges are applied.
• Guiding customers to appropriate disposal areas on site.
• Ensuring only accepted payment methods are received and reporting any payment issues.
• Communicating any changes in pricing or processes to customers.
• Maintaining safety standards and ensuring compliance with Council policies and procedures.
• Handling customer inquiries and providing excellent customer service.
• Undertaking transaction and payment reconciliation at the end of each day.
• Performing traffic control duties when required within the Transfer Station.

Skills and experience:

• Experience working in a weighbridge environment or similar role.
• Knowledge of Mandalay operating software is highly desirable.
• Experience within the waste management or a similar industry.
• Good communication skills to deal with a range of customers and situations.
• Ability to work safely and follow all safety requirements on site.
• General administration and intermediate computer skills.
• Ability to apply discretion and make decisions based on the waste type and volume.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong focus on safety.
• White Card is a must.

What’s on offer:

• Pay Rate: $39.35 per hour
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
