Exciting opportunities available for experienced and dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioners. Working closely with our Senior Practitioner, you will be well supported and have the opportunity to build on your knowledge and skills and make a real difference to the lives of people living with disability.

About the Role
As an experienced and dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will deliver high level, evidence based clinical advice and assistance to participants living with a disability and their families. Through the creation, implementation and education of positive behaviour support plans, your person-centred approach will focus on reducing the impact of challenging behaviours to enhance the quality of life for our participants.
Key Selection Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in behavioural science, psychological science, social science, social work or a related field
- NDIS registered Behaviour Support Practitioner
- Well-developed understanding and commitment to the principles and objectives of the National Disability Insurance Scheme
- Experience in the delivery of positive behaviour support services to people with complex behavioural needs
- Experienced in writing functional assessments and developing comprehensive behaviour support plans
- Deliver evidence based clinical advice and assistance to participants and the participants family and/or their care team
- Provide coaching and support to families and participant care teams to ensure effective implementation of support strategies
- Excellent communication both verbal and written, including report writing skills
- Highly competent in the use of computer-based packages including MS Office Suite
Contractor Requirements
- Driver’s license, reliable car and comprehensive insurance
- Home office equipment
- ABN
- NDIS worker screening
- Working with Children’s Check
- Professional indemnity and liability insurance
