URM (United Resources Management) is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our fast-paced and dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing weekly payroll operations for over 350 employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

About the Role
As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of employees. You will work closely with the Payroll Manager and team to maintain compliance, resolve queries, and contribute to process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process weekly payroll for 350+ employees using Micropay and TMS
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity
- Handle manual calculations, tax, PAYG, and superannuation compliance
- Interpret awards, overtime, and allowances accurately
- Manage daily timesheets for 300+ employees using TMS
- Capture and process annual leave, sick leave, and other entitlements
- Prepare payroll raw data and assist with daily KPI reporting
- Verify and update superannuation details for employees
- Provide support to the Payroll Manager and team as needed
- Act as a point of contact for payroll-related queries and escalations
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing (high-volume weekly payroll preferred)
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance, tax, and superannuation regulations
- Proficiency in payroll software (Micropay and TMS experience is a plus)
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team
- Previous experience in waste management or logistics is a bonus
