About the role

As our new Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of exceptional dishes that showcase the very best of Japanese cuisine. Working in a full-time role, you will play a key part in delivering an unforgettable dining experience to our discerning customers.
What you'll be doing
- Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese dishes to the highest standards
- Work closely with the Head Chef and Executive Chef to ensure all menu items are executed flawlessly
- Maintain a spotless kitchen and work area, upholding the strictest hygiene standards
- Assist in menu development and recipe testing, contributing ideas to enhance the culinary offering
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, sharing your expertise and passion for Japanese cuisine
- Actively participate in daily line-ups and kitchen meetings to optimise efficiency and communication
What we're looking for
- Formal culinary training or equivalent experience in a high-end Japanese or fine-dining restaurant
- Strong technical skills and a keen eye for detail in preparing, cooking and presenting Japanese dishes
- Excellent time management and the ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
- A team-oriented approach and the willingness to pitch in where needed
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to take and apply feedback
- A genuine passion for Japanese cuisine and a desire to continuously learn and grow
