Food Processing Assistant - Casual Shift

Pure Foods Tasmania are looking for Food Processing Assistants. We are growing and are looking for highly dependable team players to join us at Pure Foods Tasmania in Sorell and Mornington .

You will be required to operate machinery, be physically fit and able to handle some heavy lifting. You must work with a sense of urgency and practice attention to detail. Your ability to maintain our product quality standards is imperative.

JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of food handling and hygiene standards
• Good attention to detail and verbal communication
• Ability to follow all appropriate safety standards in food production facility
• Basic math and reading comprehension skills
• Previous experience in a fast paced, focused environment - food production, industrial kitchen, hospitality or similar
• Proficient in using Microsoft suite and generally computer literate
• Current Drivers Licence and own vehicle a must
• Must have full unrestricted working rights

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor food safety standards and record information accordingly
• Package products, including labelling, to company standard quality and product needs
• Maintain accurate records
• Maintain a clean production space, product production and overall facility
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the products and/or production process
