We are a small Accounting Firm looking for a proactive, motivated team member and responsible accounting assistant/office all-rounder to work on a permanent part time basis. The role is for approximately 22.5-28 hours per week, with some additional hours and Saturday work required in the peak tax period.
Accounts Assistant/Office All Rounder Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of basic individual tax returns.
- Data entry as required, including in MYOB, Xero and Excel
- Assisting in the preparation of BAS statements, including coding of bank transactions in MYOB and Xero.
- Reception duties as required, including but not limited to:
- Greeting clients and visitors in a positive, welcoming manner.
- Booking and scheduling appointments.
- Answering phone and email inquiries and directing them to the appropriate staff member when required.
- Perform clerical duties and other ad hoc tasks as required.
- Comply with security procedures and adhere to strict client confidentiality policies.
About you:
- Previous experience in MYOB and/or Xero will be highly regarded, but full training will be provided.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Individual with skills of working both in a team and independently
- Passionate about your work and keen on working as a team to provide our clients with the level of service they are accustomed to.
