We are a small Accounting Firm looking for a proactive, motivated team member and responsible accounting assistant/office all-rounder to work on a permanent part time basis. The role is for approximately 22.5-28 hours per week, with some additional hours and Saturday work required in the peak tax period.

Accounts Assistant/Office All Rounder Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of basic individual tax returns.
  • Data entry as required, including in MYOB, Xero and Excel
  • Assisting in the preparation of BAS statements, including coding of bank transactions in MYOB and Xero.
  • Reception duties as required, including but not limited to:
  • Greeting clients and visitors in a positive, welcoming manner.
  • Booking and scheduling appointments.
  • Answering phone and email inquiries and directing them to the appropriate staff member when required.
  • Perform clerical duties and other ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Comply with security procedures and adhere to strict client confidentiality policies.

About you:

  • Previous experience in MYOB and/or Xero will be highly regarded, but full training will be provided.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Individual with skills of working both in a team and independently
  • Passionate about your work and keen on working as a team to provide our clients with the level of service they are accustomed to.
