Our client is a leading local government entity dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the infrastructure and community spaces within the region.

About the Role:

• Plant Operation: Operate various equipment including small job trucks, graders, road rollers, and other machinery for civil infrastructure tasks.
• Crew Collaboration: Work with different crews, including graders, concrete, and general labouring teams, supporting a variety of tasks.
• Road & Drainage Maintenance: Assist in the construction and maintenance of roads, drainage systems, and related civil infrastructure.
• Traffic Management: Safely manage traffic through work zones, ensuring safety for all road users.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks and assist with minor repairs to machinery and vehicles.
• General Labouring: Carry out hands-on tasks like concrete work, earthworks, and site preparation as needed.

Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM schedule, leaving your weekends free to relax and recharge.
Pay rate $37.04/hr plus Super.

To Be Successful:

• Experience: At least 2 years of experience with plant machinery (such as graders, road rollers, and small job trucks), as well as in general labouring or concrete work.
• Licensing: A valid White Card for construction and work safety; an HC Licence for truck operation is preferred.
• Flexibility: Ability to adapt to varying roles across different crews, from truck driving to operating heavy machinery and general labouring.
• Safety Focused: Strong adherence to safety protocols when operating plant machinery and working in high-traffic environments.
• Team Player: Capable of working effectively in different teams, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
• Communication: Solid verbal and written communication skills for reporting and liaising with clients and team members.
