About the Role

We are looking for an experienced HSE Officer to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance across construction sites and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in Australian HSE regulations, have hands-on experience in site and production safety management, and be able to optimize processes while ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Australian HSE regulations and industry standards in both construction and manufacturing environments.
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Oversee safe operation and maintenance of construction sites and production equipment.
• Investigate and manage safety incidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Optimize safety management processes to improve operational efficiency without compromising safety.
• Organize HSE training and safety drills to enhance employee awareness.
• Coordinate safety initiatives with construction teams, production departments, and management to ensure effective policy implementation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in construction safety or manufacturing safety management.
• Strong knowledge of Australian HSE laws and regulations (e.g., WHS Act, Safe Work Australia Standards).
• White Card certification required; Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance, with experience in optimizing production workflows.
• Ability to handle emergencies and solve problems effectively.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a cross-functional team.
