About the company

Universal Fans is an established retail business specialising in ceiling fans and ventilation products, with multiple e-commerce stores and is the national distributor for the Fanco and Claro brands.
We're looking for a highly energetic Uni student who can learn very quickly and hit the floor running! Based in Melbourne with an experienced team to help develop the right person, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop sophisticated customer service and sales skills, as well as acquire technical knowledge in the ceiling fan and ventilation industry.

The Online Customer Service and Sales Support Consultant is responsible for:

• Sophisticated customer service and sales support by email, phone and chat;
• Working through Salesforce attending to technical sales and service related queries;
• Striving to provide strong customer service for queries pre and post purchase such as: appropriate product recommendations, pricing, product availability, technical support, delivery hiccups and returns;
• Communicating with suppliers to source technical product information, pricing, stock availability and delivery expectations;
• Completing administrative work related to customer returns for change of mind or faulty products.

The successful candidate must have:

• Availability to work 2-3 days a week during semester and 4-5 days a week during semester break, including Summer.
• Meticulous attention to detail and able to quickly zero in on the critical few and set the trivial aside;
• Strong organisational, administration and multi-tasking abilities;
• A friendly disposition with sophisticated written and oral communication;
• The ability to learn fast and be able to use technical information and data;
• Reliability, and be an energetic team player with a positive attitude;
• An efficient and productive working style with the ability to produce quality results in a very fast-paced environment;
• The ability to completely own their tasks and be able to deliver on deadlines;
• Experience with using CMS (like Salesforce) and ERP type software (like MYOB) and,
• Previous knowledge of technical/electrical products is highly advantageous.
• Current studies in mechanical engineering and/or e-commerce highly advantageous.
