Looking for a commercially astute Finance Manager who is hands on and technically strong in statutory and tax reporting and compliance, as well as offering staff and stakeholder management skills. You will be joining a global, successful and engaging creative arts organisation, where the finance team is highly valued and their input helps drive success.

Your Opportunity

14 month maternity leave position, with full commitment for the term of the contract, essential.

You will be the top finance person looking after a medium sized Australian and New Zealand subsidiary of a global business. This is a hands on Finance Manager role, reporting directly to the local CEO and the global Finance team.

The organisation you will join is part of a significant global entity and a strong focus of the role will be around statutory compliance, tax reporting, and audit liaison. You will also have overall responsibility for end to end financial control, as well as business partner with relevant directors around budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and risk assessment.

You must enjoy being in the detail and hands-on and know how to deliver on time, business-critical, commentary and reports.

You will have a small team and together be responsible for financial and management reporting, board reporting, compliance, payroll, audit, risk and taxation. Intercompany loans and transfer pricing, royalty reviews, as well as ad hoc projects, will also form part of your role and the responsibilities of your team.

You will deliver reports and commentary locally and overseas. Budgeting and forecasting with your insights and commentary, will be needed and you will add your valuable commercial input to enhance the companies performance and highlight future opportunities and risks.

This role requires you to commit to a 14 month contract, interviewing now and commencing late May to early June. You will receive a 10% bonus on completion of the contract.

Your Profile

You must be able to commit to starting late May/early June and to staying the full 14 months and also bring the following:

• CA/CPA essential. The ideal person will be technically strong in statutory and tax reporting and compliance.
• Ideally you have commenced your career in the profession, or a large corporate, so you can bring strong technical, process and systems skills, to this role.
• Then, you will have moved to a smaller enterprise and have been hands on in finance control and reporting.
• It would be ideal if you have an understanding of royalties and can add value to this part of the business. Publishing, music, film, media or product based businesses, will also be highly regarded.
• Your proven management skills and ability to communicate and influence both local and overseas stakeholders, is essential.
• Excel skills must be second to none and use of MYOB and SAP will also help you and your finance team succeed.
