My client is a scaling digital agency with clients across the globe. They are on the market for a Head Of Engineering to manage the day to day delivery of software solutions for clients, and work closely with the CTO on the architecture and strategy side. This role will offer a variety of hands-on work and people management and will suit a candidate that enjoys rolling up their sleeves and leading from the front.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead teams of front & back-end engineers and foster an innovative & collaborative culture
• Oversee application design using Typescript, React & Java
• Champion optimisation & implement the best testing strategies
• Work with CTO on architecture solutions & long-term engineering strategy
• Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS & GCP
• Work with stakeholders to align technical execution with business goals & client needs
• This role may require overseas travel to visit offshore teams

Requirements:

• Strong leadership & mentorship skills
• Ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical & non-technical stakeholders
• Borad range of technology – TS / JS / Java / React Native
• Expertise in design & implementation of Microservices
• Grasp of UX / UI principles & knowledge of both web and mobile applications
• Experience working on multiple deliveries simultaneously
• Experience managing teams in different geographical locations
• Passion for building high performing teams
