We are seeking a full-time (38hrs per week) Assistant Weekend Market Manager to join our Weekend Markets.

About Us:

Perth Markets Group Limited (PMGL) is an unlisted public company, landowner, property developer and manager. Steeped in history dating back to 1897, Perth Markets is WA’s only wholesale fresh produce market and home to the retail and commercial precinct, Market City, and the iconic Canning Vale Weekend Markets.

Each weekend the Saturday Clearance Market and Sunday Community Market are open to the public and attract circa 6,000+ visitors each weekend. The new August Winter Night Market Series opens each Saturday night in August.

About the Role:

You will be closely involved in the day to day running of the markets and developing seasonal themes and activities. You will have a proactive, professional and customer-focused mindset and be comfortable working in the office with peers and a variety of stallholders, customers, tenants and the public.

The role includes:

• Building and maintaining positive relationships with stallholders through positive, proactive communication.
• Providing administration support and cover for the Cashiers role when needed.
• Ensuring product compliance and co-ordinating equipment audits.
• Managing online stallholder bookings and enquiries.
• Managing bump-in and bump-out.
• Assisting in the development of a weekly newsletter, updating weekly stallholder list, creating new marketing content, assisting with on-site activations, and reviewing stallholder Welcome Packs and Terms & Conditions, as required.
• Commencement Salary $70k - $75k + super. Negotiable based on experience.

About You:

Essential:

• Experience and/or qualifications in Events Management, and/or equivalent experience in coordinating markets or projects in a relevant field.
• Solid administrative skills and/or retail and cash-handling experience.
• Available to work every Saturday morning and 2 Sundays per month.
• Permanent Resident/Citizen status.

Desirable:

• Well organised, with a strong attention to detail.
• Social media savvy.
• Experience in budgeting and forecasting.
• Relevant qualifications (TAFE or tertiary level).
• Applicants who reside south of the river preferred.
