The Role:

We are looking for a Sheet Metal Fabricator / Welder to join our busy workshop in Welshpool. As part of our team, you will be responsible for fabricating stainless-steel products, working with mild steel and stainless-steel sheet ranging from 0.9mm to 6mm thick. You will also be involved in welding, including the fabrication of bespoke items, mining equipment, and even defense projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and weld high-quality stainless-steel products, including lab bowls, sinks, bespoke items, mining equipment, and defense components.
• Work with stainless steel sheet materials (0.9mm to 6mm thickness).
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure the correct fabrication of parts.
• Fabricate and weld stainless steel structures such as hoppers, chutes, and bins.

What We’re Looking For:

• 2–5 years of post-trade experience in sheet metal work and welding.
• Experience working with stainless steel sheet (0.9mm to 6mm thickness).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and symbols.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills – ability to read, write, and understand English well.

Desirable:

• Certificate in Welding or equivalent (minimum 2 years).
• Experience with GMAW & GTAW welding (Ali, Stainless & Mild Steel).
