Simply Helping Franchising currently has 18 franchises and growing. We’re seeking a proactive and experienced HR Manager to lead our HR function, ensuring compliance, fostering a positive workplace culture, and supporting our franchise network.
As a professional, you are responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of our human resources functions including managing employee-related processes, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and supporting the organization’s strategic objectives and its employees’ needs.
About the Role
The role of the HR manager involves overseeing recruitment, and hiring of new staff within the National Office, and advisor to franchisees and their key staff on the above and supporting franchisees with HR best practices, consults with the Director and senior managers on strategic planning, and serves as a link between the organization’s management and its employees. You will work to align human resources practices with the organization’s goals, fostering a productive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
✔️ Provide expert HR advice and support to the Simply Helping franchise network
✔️ Ensure compliance with Fair Work legislation, Awards, and workplace policies
✔️ Provide advice on the SCHADS Award.
✔️ Oversee JobAdder for recruitment, ensuring a seamless hiring process
✔️ Manage Simon for onboarding, ensuring a positive new starter experience
✔️ Support recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning strategies
✔️ Lead performance management, employee relations, and workplace investigations
✔️ Develop policy in conjunction with Quality and Governance and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
✔️ Support and embrace diversity, inclusion, and well-being programs.
✔️ Lead HR projects, including continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- Experience in HR management, ideally in the community services.
- Understanding the franchising sector would be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of Australian employment law and HR best practices.
- Have a thorough understanding of and experience with the SCHADS Award.
- Experience managing HR systems, including JobAdder (recruitment), and Simon (on-boarding).
- Ability to build relationships and provide HR support across multiple location.
- Be adaptable, proactive, and empathetic, with a focus on continuous improvement, open communication, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skill.
- Experience in training, compliance, and policy development.
- Passion for supporting a values-driven organisation.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in human resources, business administration or related field.
