The Role

• Extensive relevant experience working on building services, commercial, residential, health or fit out projects as an experienced Mechanical & ESD Engineer;
• Demonstrated experience designing HVAC systems within buildings projects.
• Overseeing Key ESD activities utilising relevant software for analysis
• Have an improvement and growth mind set / attitude to develop team and assist in achieving company goals
• Adopting new innovation and technology within a Green building environment.
• Understanding and working knowledge of working within an engineering consultancy environment on building services projects;
• Proven project experience working to Australian Standards, with exposure to State/Federal Government projects;
• Proficiency with industry standard software (such as; MS Office, AutoCAD, Revit, Camel, Bluebeam);
• Experience working in Mechanical / Building services design including HVAC, Chillers, Air distribution, plant upgrades as well as understanding / Coordination with other key services disciplines; Electrical, Hydraulics, Fire ESD etc..
• Experience delivering projects around Mechanical / HVAC engineering of buildings / variety of projects.

Qualifications & Credentials

• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
• 4 + years experience, demonstrated tenure within a Mechanical HVAC & ESD / Buildings Sustainability role
• CPEng / RBP or working towards CPEng useful but not essential

Skills and Experience:

• Prior experience/understanding of CAD/Revit, helpful but not essential;
• Experience working on buildings projects - (High, Medium, Low rise), Community, retail, health or residential.
• Up to date ESD Accreditations in NatHERS/FirstRate5/ Greenstar as well as experience with Section J (JV3).
• Strong understanding of building performance and their thermal ratings.
• Energy modelling experience
• Basic understanding of other building services disciplines such as Mechanical, electrical, fire, etc
• Multiple years experience working in a Building Services consulting environment.
• Excellent communication skills, report writing skills, and ability to work across disciplines.
• Strong time-management and personal admin skills.
• Can do attitude and drive to lead by example
