The Role & Team
Are you a detail-driven data expert who crafts insightful, visually appealing reports from complex data, while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity?
The EPMO was established to enhance project governance, oversight, and delivery capability across Airservices. Within it, the Reporting and Performance Analysis team is responsible for delivering accurate, high-quality reporting that supports informed decision-making.
As a Senior Reporting Data Analyst, you will be responsible for designing and developing new reports, including defining data sources, structuring the report/dashboard, and ensuring data is displayed in a way that is both visually appealing and capable of imparting the relevant insights enabling data-driven decision making. You will refresh and update existing reports on a regular cadence and take ownership of data validation processes, ensuring consistency and accuracy in reporting outputs.

The Person
We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-focused professional with a strong technical background in data validation, reporting, and report creation. You will enjoy working with large datasets, cross-checking reports, and ensuring absolute accuracy before information is published. You have an investigative mindset, always questioning inconsistencies and proactively identifying errors before they become issues.
You are comfortable working with structured data, dashboards, and reporting tools, and can collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clarity, reliability, and integrity of reporting outputs. You can liaise with stakeholders at all levels to gather requirements, translate needs, provide insights and to educate and train on the use of our reports, where the data comes from and what it means. You take pride in maintaining high-quality reporting standards, care about the details, delve deep into the data and have the skills to build new reports when needed. Skills and Background
Advanced data skills with extensive experience in Excel, SQL and PowerBI (or similar, although we use PBI). Demonstrated ability to validate data, create and run reports, analyse and draw insights from data and fix issues in data connections and structures. Strong focus on data accuracy. Ideally in an EPMO or project-based environment.
Strong ability to cross-check data across multiple sources, identify inconsistencies, and resolve discrepancies, and experience in month-to-month data comparison to detect anomalies.
Responsibility for refreshing reports with fresh data on a scheduled basis and ensuring consistency over time.
A structured and methodical approach to data quality assurance and report validation with excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to investigating data issues.
Ability to build new reports from scratch, including defining data sources, structuring visualisations, and presenting insights.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of data management/validation processes and reporting while collaborating with wider teams.
Familiarity with data governance principles and best practices in reporting standardisation.
Exposure to automating data validation or improving reporting workflows.
