We are currently partnering with a large QLD Government Agency to recruit a Project Manager on a day rate contract through till the 21st December 2025

The Division

This division manages enterprise ICT solutions, including Workforce Management, Rostering, and SAP Payroll systems, ensuring efficiency, support, and continuous improvement. It also oversees the SAP Business Support Unit, supporting S/4HANA modules

The role

As a Project Manager, you will oversee and manage complex ICT projects within the Corporate Technology Services program of work. This may involve new system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements. You will work across Corporate Enterprise Solutions teams and external stakeholders to ensure projects align with Release Management processes and best-practice frameworks, such as PRINCE2 and MSP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end project management, ensuring timely delivery of ICT solutions.
  • Oversee project governance, risk, and issue management to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement, fostering collaboration across internal teams and external vendors.
  • Lead benefits realisation strategies, ensuring technology investments drive business value.
  • Provide expert advice on technology roadmaps and solution design.
  • Monitor and report on project performance, budgets, and compliance with public sector standards.
  • Mentor and develop multidisciplinary teams, promoting a strong team culture.
  • Develop business cases to secure funding for ICT initiatives.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential Skills:

  • 7–10 years’ experience in ICT project management, with expertise in HR/Payroll, Rostering, or Finance systems.
  • Strong knowledge of PRINCE2, MSP, or Agile methodologies.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex projects, preferably within government or healthcare sectors.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Experience with risk management, release management, and system upgrades.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership capabilities.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience managing projects in Queensland Government or other public sector environments.
  • Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology & S/4HANA solutions.
  • Certifications in PRINCE2, ITIL, Agile, or SAFe.
