Expressions of interest from civil engineers or project managers with over 10 years experience in delivery of State Government transport and road programs.

The candidate must have;

• A minimum of ten years minimum relevant experience in project management and contracts of road infrastructure projects and programs or acceptable equivalent
• Knowledge and experience working with the state government agencies.
• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent is desirable
• Qualifications in Project Management
• Experience in Contract Administration of Construction Projects

This role is responsible for performing a variety of tasks including:

• Project management of multi-disciplinary transport infrastructure planning and design projects through the implementation of contract management tools and systems to enable best practice, achieve value for money outcomes and ensure quality management is consistent with the required standards
• Apply demonstrated expertise and a detailed working knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, engineering policies, technical principals, procedures, practices, guidelines and specifications to VicRoads planning and design projects and activities
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate successful outcomes, develop and foster effective work teams, consult and negotiate with a wide range of both internal and external parties and prepare written reports and submissions
• High level specialist project & technical advice and assistance to other project managers on transport planning, design and project management matters
• Effective leadership, conceptual thinking and resolution of complex problems to various stakeholders for successful completion of transport infrastructure projects.
