Details: Do you enjoy the outdoors, physical activity and have an interest in plants? Yarralumla Nursery is currently looking to fill our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples position as a Wholesale Nursery worker in our production team.

Yarralumla Nursery is the largest wholesale nursery in the southern tablelands and sells high quality, competitively priced plants to landscape, wholesale, and retail industries; Landcare groups; and local, state governments as well as the Australian Government. The Nursery grows over 200,000 cool climate plants annually from its own plant stock and seed bank including local, rare, and endangered species.

The job involves learning and doing various plant production tasks, including plant potting, plant maintenance and irrigation maintenance; just to name a few.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

• Driver’s license Class C
• Lift heavy materials (16-20kg)
• Bend repeatedly
• Carry out a variety of other heavy manual work
• Work outdoors in all seasons
• This position does require a pre-employment medical check, including a hearing check.
