  • Full Time position (35 hours/week)
  • Maternity Leave cover contract until May 2026
  • Based in Penrith, with days also required in our West Ryde office

In this role, you will be responsible for a full range of tenancy management functions to assist clients to achieve long-term sustainable tenancies in Link Wentworth's affordable housing properties. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a portfolio of 170 properties based in Penrith with leasing support.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Tenancy management including tenancy sign-ups and client service visits (property inspections)
  • Arrears management including supporting and referring tenants to other community organisations to assist them in reducing their debt
  • Managing breach of tenancy issues (other than rental and non-rental arrears)
  • Building and maintaining relationships with real estates, landlords, and key support providers
  • Representing Link Wentworth at the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) as required
  • Conducting regular property inspections and manage ingoing and outgoing inspections
  • Maintaining clear and effective communication with tenants and owners, providing timely updates, and responding to inquiries
  • Staying up to date with tenancy laws and regulations and ensuring compliance with all relevant legal requirements

Who we are looking for:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in Property management /understanding of the affordable housing sector and in providing community sector services
  • Demonstrated knowledge of policy and legislation applying to affordable housing including the Residential Tenancies Act 2010
  • Demonstrated understanding of effective arrears management practices
  • Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to liaise with a number of stakeholders including real estate agents, landlords and tenants from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving ability

Ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with identified support agencies and other community services

You will also need:

  • Current Class 2 Real Estate Licence
  • A current driver’s licence valid in the state of NSW
  • At least two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations, meaning, having received the primary course of an Australian Government approved COVID-19 vaccination
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check to Link Wentworth's satisfaction
