PROJECT MANAGER - REMEDIATION

Outstanding opportunity to join one of Australia's largest privately owned civil and remediation contractors, a national organisation operating for over 15 years. Looking to continue our growth after the award of some exciting projects, an experienced Project Manager - Remediation is required to join the team.

The role:

Based in Synergy’s Sydney office, Synergy is looking for a Project Manager - Remediation to assist with the ongoing growth and management of environmental remediation and civil projects, both in metro Sydney and in regional NSW, depending on project size, timeline, and requirements. You will be supported by an experienced leadership team, in house delivery resources, and interstate resources where required.

The Successful applicant is expected to be present on site during key milestones, particularly during project kick-off, and this will mean travelling to project sites in regional NSW, with some regularity - This is an essential requirement of the role.

The Project Manager – Remediation is responsible for overseeing projects of varying complexity and scale, from tender submission to practical completion, ensuring alignment with contract conditions and stakeholder expectations. This role requires strong problem solving abilities to proactively identify and resolve project challenges, maintaining compliance with relevant standards while delivering outcomes on time and within budget. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, fostering productive relationships through regular consultation and collaboration.

Under the direction of the company Manager - Operations, the applicant will undertake a variety of duties which are expected to be delivered autonomously and prioritised according to business requirements.

The Project Manager – Remediation should have either a tertiary qualification in project management, business management, or a related field, or substantial industry experience in delivering projects. They must also possess strong technical expertise in at least one relevant discipline, such as environmental science, chemistry, process engineering, mechanical engineering, strategic management, or a specialised trade

The Project Manager - Remediation is expected to have a minimum of 10 years’ industry experience, which includes at least 5 years undertaking advanced project management roles within the civil / environmental industry, with a proven record of successful delivery of projects.

• Managing remediation and civil construction projects from pre-project planning phase to practical completion
• Responsible for estimating and preparing tender submissions, including conducting pre-tender meetings, site visits, and compiling comprehensive bid documentation
• Client and stakeholder liaison engagement
• EHSQ management plan implementation
• Coordination of resources
• Sourcing and ordering equipment and materials
• Engaging and coordinating subcontractors and service providers
• Maintaining compliance with legislative requirements
• Management of project financials

Remuneration: $130 - $150k + Super, Vehicle and tools are on offer, depending on experience.
