We are a family-owned, national fitout company based in Ringwood, Victoria, with over 30 years of experience delivering high-end retail, commercial, office, and hospitality fitouts. The Role
As a Fitout Project Manager, you will oversee commercial fitout and refurbishment projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for project planning, budgeting, stakeholder management, and site coordination to ensure successful project delivery. This full-time role may require occasional interstate travel and flexible hours as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and manage fitout projects ranging from $50,000 to $2 million, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Site Coordination: Oversee project schedules, site teams, suppliers, and subcontractors, while ensuring strict compliance with OHS, building regulations, and Australian construction standards.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, designers, and contractors. Provide regular updates and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Leadership & Team Development: Motivate and manage project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Financial & Performance Management: Monitor budgets, control project costs, and ensure profitability while identifying efficiency improvements.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to operational excellence and process enhancements across the company.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years experience as a Project Manager in commercial fitouts.
- Trade qualification in Building & Construction, Project Management, or Shopfitting (preferred).
- Strong understanding of fitout construction, joinery processes, building codes, and safety standards.
- Excellent skills in reading and interpreting plans.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and cloud-based project management software.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Willingness to travel interstate occasionally (1-2 days per trip).
- Ability to work flexible hours when required (standard hours 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM).
