Lakeview Private Hospital (LPH) is an established multidisciplinary private hospital located at Bella Vista, Sydney. LPH seeks to employ staff members with a passion for healthcare and a deep commitment to the philosophy of Patients First.

An opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to work on a permanent full time basis. This role would suit someone who loves a fast pace, thrives on challenges and problem solving and has a passion for great customer service.

The main responsibilities of the role will be:

• Provide on time and accurate processing of patient accounts
• Manage daily receipting and allocation of payments which includes patient estimations, patient accounts, reconciliation of EFTPOS transactions to Epas,
• Liaison with health funds, patients, third party suppliers,
• Following up debtor patient accounts - emails, calls, correspondence, and letters
• Process refunds, write offs, debt collector invoices, overdue accounts,
• Support the reconciliation of cash handling procedures across multiple departments,

To be considered for this role you will need to meet the following criteria:

• Experience in the healthcare sector would be highly desirable
• Knowledge of health fund contracts would be beneficial
• Confident in debt collection practices and active listening skills
• High attention to detail, excellent communications and interpersonal skills
• Sound active questioning skills and proven experience in problem solving, especially in a customer service / patient focused role
• Experience in the resolution of issues arising from balance sheet reconciliations.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise.
• 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role would be desirable.
• Commitment to quality, best practice and environmental safety
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
• Strong organisational skills
